| The
Neoponti
Collection is
a special
collection of
furniture,
furnishings,
lamps, and
silverware
designed by
Gio Ponti
which Matteo
Licitra, his
grandson, has
carefully
chosen from
the vast
output. Mr.
Licitra has
chosen to
reproduce
those objects
that were most
familiar to
him through
his childhood.
From
architecture
to design,
from painting
to editing,
from designing
ceramics for
Richard Ginori
in the
Twenties to
the Pirelli
Tower, the
"Superlight
Chair"
and the
Planchart
Villa of the
Fifties; to
the cathedral
of Taranto and
the Denver
Museum in the
Seventies, Gio
Ponti has made
his mark on
the world
throughout six
decades of
this century.
This
collection
pays homage to
him. This
collection is
managed by the
designers
Matteo Licitra
and Anna Mari. |
